After relentless efforts by its Alternative Dispute Resolution Division, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) has announced that the city’s divorce rate will be reduced by 6% in 2022. (ADRD). In this post we discussed about Abu Dhabi Divorce Rate Dropped by 6% in 2022.
The number of family disputes leading to divorces has decreased from 9% in 2021 to only 3%. According to family counselors and psychologists, infidelity, problems with commitment, poor communication, and unreasonably high expectations are some of the causes of divorce.
Family counselors helped persuade couples to choose peaceful resolutions. Follow-up procedures are in place to guarantee adherence to the reconciliation agreement and address any issues that may arise.

Judicial officials praised the ADRD for providing alternatives to litigation. ADJD handled almost 99.2% of family conflicts in 2022, and 63% had already settled in Abu Dhabi.
A drop in the divorce rate was also facilitated by outreach programs like “Reconciliation is Better.” The program attempts to strengthen family ties using multimedia tools and interactive exercises.
