Conversations Karachi, an international literature festival was organized by The Frizbee at Habitt City Auditorium, Karachi.
Presented by National Foods Limited, the first edition of the festival featured panel discussions on subjects such as mental health, women’s right of city in South Asian countries, short story writing in Pakistan, Karachi’s present condition and future. National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) alumni also performed Dastangoi (Tilsim-e-Hoshurba) and two theatre plays (Badtameez and Shaadi Ka Paigham).
The festival featured distinguished local and international participants and moderators. And was well attend by an audience representing diverse sections of the society.
Pakistani panelists included Arif Hasan (Hilal-i-Imtiaz), Afia Salam, Jibran Nasir, Anoushey Ashraf, Aamer Hussain, Sheharbano Alvi, Taha Kehar, Nadia Rasheed, Saba Bano Malik, Aun Ali and Nadeem Farooq Paracha.
Panelists from India included Parama Biswas and Utsav Mamoria, while Nepal was represent by Shivani Neupane.
