Irshad Bhatti Reports a Fake Account Making Claims he has left Pakistan

Irshad Bhatti alerts authorities to a phoney account that implies he has fled Pakistan.

The hashtag #IrshadBhatti has been trending on social media timelines for a day now, with reports claiming the journalist fled the nation after receiving threats.

That\’s not the case, though.

The senior journalist is currently working outside of Pakistan.

Irshad Bhatti noticed from his Instagram account that a bogus account was running under his name.

People using verified Twitter identities to promote false information without evidence is extremely problematic and unpleasant. Counterchecking the facts is not a significant concern for those in the journalism industry, but social media has killed responsibility and subverted reporting standards.

Irshad Bhatti, a senior journalist, is now in Oslo, Norway, for an event scheduled weeks in advance.

According to his Insta story post, he will be travelling to Denmark.

In this digital age if you can’t check the facts easily available by just simple clicks on the internet.
