Ishaq Dar Bans Luxury Vehicles For Govt Officials

The monitoring committee raised serious concerns regarding using SUV/Sedan cars with more than 1800cc by government employees, which Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator lead. The issue arose after Finance Minister Dar presided over the second meeting of the monitoring committee to oversee the application of austerity measures at the Finance Division.

The group discussed how the choices made at its first meeting regarding implementing austerity measures had been carried out.

The primary goal was updated on the usage of luxury vehicles, and it was determined that the cabinet members returned the majority of the vehicles they had been given.

The meeting discussed the non-return of the remaining high-end automobiles and instructed the cabinet division to enforce them strictly and return them within three days.
