The federal government has changed the next two weeks’ petrol prices in Pakistan from May 16 to May 31, 2023. For the first and second halves of May 2023, the government has lowered the price of all petroleum products, including petrol, high-speed diesel (HSD), kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO).
In Pakistan, the petrol price has decreased by Rs. 12.00 per litre, while the cost of high-speed diesel (HSD) has decreased by Rs. 30.00 per litre, according to the release. Kerosene and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) prices have decreased by Rs. 12.00 per litre, respectively.
As a result, the price of petrol in Pakistan has increased to Rs. 270.00 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has decreased to Rs. 258.00 per litre, the price of kerosene oil has increased to Rs. 164.07 per litre, and the price of light diesel oil (LDO) has decreased to Rs. 152.68 per litre.
Beginning at midnight on May 16, 2023, Pakistan’s most recent diesel and petrol prices will apply to the first half of the month.

The notification stated, “In view of the declining price trend of petroleum products on the international market, Government has decided to reduce the existing prices of petroleum products in order to pass on the benefits of decreasing prices trend of petroleum products on the international market and provide maximum relief to the masses.”
In the most recent review, the Federal Government kept the price of petrol in Pakistan unchanged while cutting the cost of diesel by Rs. 5.00 per litre, kerosene by Rs. 10.00 per litre and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs. 10.00 per litre.
