NAB has issued a warning to the public against investing in Bahria Town’s new Dubai project. According to NAB, legal procedures are being taken to extradite Malik Riaz from the UAE due to claims of fraud, unlawful land grabbing, and misleading tactics in numerous cities across Pakistan.
In response to these claims, Malik Riaz has dismissed the accusations as unfounded and described them as an attempt at blackmail. The NAB has also expressed suspicion that the Dubai project may involve money laundering and has advised people to be cautious before investing.
The bureau has also underlined the importance of safeguarding the public interest and remaining vigilant against potentially risky ventures.
He stated that he will not be coerced by such claims. Despite being designated an absconder in the Al-Qadir Trust case, Riaz stays staunch in his attitude.
Additionally, Riaz has defended the Dubai project, saying it will enhance Pakistan’s reputation internationally. NAB still cautions the public, though, to do their research and exercise caution before getting involved in the project.
Debates concerning the project’s legitimacy and the participants’ accountability have garnered a lot of public attention. The NAB’s caution emphasizes how important it is to carefully consider and be transparent when making investment decisions, especially for big projects like this one.
