Recovered Drug Addicts to Get Jobs in KP

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government will begin a campaign to rehabilitate drug addicts treatment across the province on July 19th. According to Barrister Muham­mad Ali Saif, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Information.

He made this statement during a meeting that Riaz Mehsud, the Commissioner of the Peshawar Division. Presided over to assess the campaign\’s progress toward its goal of making Peshawar drug-free. CM Mahmood Khan has summoned a meeting for July 19th to start a crackdown on drug rings in KP.

According to Barrister Saif, the KP Industry Department and representatives of industrialists will meet today to discuss the creation of work prospects for former drug addicts.

Drug addicts treatment

The delegates were informed that 1,188 drug addicts, including 13 women, have detained by the authorities since the \”Drug-Free Peshawar Campaign\” 50 days ago and are currently receiving treatment at several rehab facilities.

In addition, 139 of the 143 individuals with HIV/AIDS who were diagnose receive treatment in Islamabad. And four are receiving care at the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) in Peshawar.

Drug Addicts to Get Jobs in KP

The attendees were also inform that 281 drug users between the ages of 15 and 51. Whose families the concerned authorities have tracked down.

The attendees were also informed that KP\’s rehabilitation clinics are developing housing options for the 700 to 800 drug users still on the streets.

In addition, after the summer break, awareness seminars will held in universities, colleges, and schools.
