PM Imran says India Behind Pakistan Stock Exchange attack in Karachi

Prime Minister Imran Khan told parliament on Tuesday he had ‘no doubt’ that India was behind an attack on the stock exchange building in Karachi a day earlier.

Four terrorists armed with grenades attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday, killing two guards and a policeman before security forces killed the attackers.

“There is no doubt that India is behind the attack,” Khan said in his address to parliament. “For the last two months, my cabinet knew (there would be an attack) I had informed my ministers. All our agencies were on high alert,” he add.

“What happened in Mumbai, they wanted to do the same [in Karachi]; they wanted to spread uncertainty. We have no doubt this was done by India.” the premier said, referring to the 2008 Mumbai attacks in which more than 160 people were kill.

\”They gave sacrifices and prevented a major incident, which planned to destabilize us by India.\” adding that the attackers had a lot of ammunition and wanted to take hostages said Imran khan in NA session. \”My cabinet and its ministers know that all our agencies were on high alert. So, Our agencies appropriated at least four significant attempts of terrorism, and two of them were around Islamabad.

\”We were fully prepar … this was a huge win for us,\” he said, paying tribute to the security agencies.

The prime minister gave respect to the victims of the attack. Which included a policeman and two security guards of the stock exchange. However, In yesterday\’s attack on the stock exchange in the financial hub of the country. Security forces killed four terrorists in a retaliatory response.
