Friesland Campina Engro Pakistan Ltd (FCEPL) and the University of Education Punjab (UEP) in collaboration with the Punjab government have launched a ‘School Milk Program’ in the province.
The \’School milk initiative,\’ created by Friesland Campina and the Punjab University of Education. Would supply free milk to students in 89 elementary schools in the Attack and Shaikhupura districts.
According to Vice-Chancellor of the University of Education Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Pakistan is one of the countries. Where a significant number of early infants suffer from malnutrition. According to Pasha, milk will be supplied to students in selected schools for six months in the first phase.
Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun Sarfaraz complimented the University of Education\’s concept. Stating it will aid in the proper growth of school-aged children. The Provincial Minister for Livestock, Hasnain Bahadur Dareshk, and the Provincial Minister for Social Welfare, Yawar Abbas Bukhari, have expressed their full support for the programme.
