Pakistan Railways Suspends Two Train Driver After They Stopped Train To Buy Yogurt

After Federal Minister for Railways Mohammad Azam Khan Swati saw a viral video, a rail driver and his helper were suspend for stopping a passenger train to buy yoghurt in Lahore.

According to local media reports, the train driver halted the train near the Kahna Kacha railway station in the provincial capital to buy yoghurt. But the two railway personnel identifie as Rana Mohammad Shehzad and his assistant Iftikhar Hussain decide that stop the train to buy the food item was too expensive.

Authorities acted after the viral video spark outrage from the railway\’s department. Which has been troubled by accidents, passenger safety concerns, and late arrivals.

A statement issued by PTI Minister stated,

“I will not tolerate such events in the future and allow anyone to use national assets for personal use”.

Additionally, Pakistan Railways is an institution of national trust, and we will not allow anybody else to tarnish its reputation.

Railway authorities have also issued stern directives for all employees. As it recently imposed a ban on mobile phones by locomotive drivers and assistants.
