The actress said that she had been the target of baseless accusations that were repeated from the pulpit. She stated that accountability ultimately rests with Allah SWT and that she believes in vindication “in both this world and the hereafter.”
Momina went on to state that only Allah knows the truth about the situation and that she would not pardon anybody who propagated or supported the charges.
Citing Islamic traditions that forbid false allegations and emphasise stringent standards for proof, especially in cases affecting personal honour and dignity, she also advised against making assertions without supporting evidence.
Citing Ayat from Surah An-Nur, she argued that it is a grave moral and religious transgression to accuse someone without four witnesses.
