The same category is price between Rs. 60,000 and Rs. 70,000 this year. Previously costing about Rs. 150,000, larger and more expensive goats are now selling for about Rs. 160,000.
Prices for cattle have also been impact. A decent bull weighing about three maunds cost between Rs. 180,000 and Rs. 200,000 last year.
The anticipated price may stay below Rs200,000 this year, even though the quantity of animals in marketplaces is high since border closures are impeding exports.
