Malik Riaz rejects ‘deepfake’ leaked audio tape

Malik Riaz, a real estate magnate, has distanced himself from an audio clip in which he and his daughter Amber Riaz allegedly discussed an extravagant gift for former First Lady Bushra Bibi. \”The audio ascribed to me on social media is the product of this [deep-fake] technology,\” Riaz stated in a statement released on Twitter. He say its fake leaked audio tape.

\”I do not wish to associated with any political campaign,\” he continued, \”but it is undeniable that my voice has been misappropriated for political benefit.\”

Earlier, during a news conference in Lahore, PML-N leader Ataullah Tarar, the Punjab government\’s spokesperson, and PML-N Information Secretary Azma Bukhari made the claimed audio recording public. It involves Malik Riaz and his daughter Amber Riaz talking.

“I have been attacked repeatedly, now my family is also targete. I intend to initiate legal proceedings in this matter and I will approach every legal forum to track down the people behind this conspiracy,” the business tycoon concluded.

They were overhear discussing how Bushra Bibi, the former first lady, refused to accept a three-carat diamond ring from them.

 

According to the claimed tape, Amber might heard telling her father that she sent the then-first lady a three-carat diamond ring, but she refused to take it.

 

Amber claimed she had a meeting with \”her\” on Saturday. A five-carat diamond ring should arranged for Bushra Bibi before the appointment, without specifying the person\’s name on the recording. She said that the jewellery would cost Rs10 million.

The audio cassette was also dismisse as \”propaganda\” by Imran Khan\’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
