Punjab to Help Islamabad Start E-Stamp System
In order to implement an e-stamp system in the federal capital, the Punjab government would support the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration. The goal of the effort is to update land records and facilitate public property transfers.
An agreement between the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) and the ICT administration was signed during a ceremony at the CDA headquarters. A press statement from the Capital Development Authority (CDA) states that the deal will introduce the e-stamp paper system to Islamabad.

The project was led by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Mohammad Ali Randhawa. As per the agreement, Islamabad would shortly digitise land records and use the e-stamp paper system.
According to officials, these actions will update ICT’s land records and solve typical issues that individuals encounter when transferring, altering, and buying or selling property.
The new e-stamp paper system, according to Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon, will assist address public issues and enhance service delivery.
For citizens of Islamabad, the e-stamp system is anticipated to improve the efficiency, security, and transparency of real estate transactions.
