In a weird incident, a San Francisco-based American blogger hired a woman to slap him every time he logged into his Facebook account.

 Maneesh Sethi, the CEO of wearable device company Pavlok and a computer programmer from San Francisco, reportedly recruited Klara from Craigslist as a slapper for USD 8 (about Rs 595) per hour to assist him in cutting down on his Facebook usage. Sethi allegedly discovered that he was spending about 30 hours on Facebook and other social media sites, accounting for nearly 38% of his workweek.

Maneesh Sethi went on Craigslist in 2012 looking for someone to assist him to boost his productivity; all they had to do was slap him in the face. He\’d been wasting his time on Facebook.

\”I\’m searching for someone who can work alongside me at a set place (my house or a mission cafe) and keep an eye on what I\’m doing on my computer screen. \”You\’ll have to yell at me or, if necessary, slap me when I\’m wasting time,\” he wrote on Craigslist.

Sethi later claimed in a blog post that hiring a lady to smack him increased his output to 98 percent from 35-40 percent.
