Ishaq Dar, a former finance minister and PML-N leader, had his arrest warrants postponed by an accountability court through October 7.
Judge Mohammad Bashir of the Accountability Court gave the directives and instructed the police not to detain the former federal minister when he arrived in Pakistan. Dar is at the moment in London.
The judge stated that the court would decide whether or not to cancel Dar\’s arrest warrants once he returned to Pakistan.
Once Dar comes in person before the court, the arrest orders will be permanently revoked.
On Thursday, Dar went to the accountability court after the Supreme Court rejected his appeal in a corruption case after he decided to withdraw his plea.
Due to Dar\’s prolonged absence from the proceedings in 2017, an accountability court considering a corruption reference against him designated him a proclaimed criminal.
On March 3, 2018, a technocrat seat in the Senate was win by the former finance minister, who was, after that, elected as a PML-N senator.
He hadn\’t, however, taken the senator\’s oath of office since 2017. Dar has been labell a fugitive by the accountability court in a corruption case.
