Arshad Sharif Murder: This morning, the nation awoke to the heartbreaking news that renowned TV host and veteran journalist Arshad Sharif had been shot and killed in Kenya\’s Kajiado County. Images posted on social media show that the Pakistani High Commission and Kenyan authorities are looking into Arshad Sharif\’s death. After the brutal murder of a Pakistani national, one would imagine that the Pakistani Foreign Office officials in Kenya would take the case seriously and urge an open inquiry.
This is beyond sickening. A Pakistani HC official on left playing CandyCrush on phone while High Commissioner Saeeda Saqlain is meeting Kenyan officials on Arshad's murder. @ForeignOfficePk needs to take action now. pic.twitter.com/qj2IJdL5cQ

However, it has been reported that a representative of the Pakistani High Commission in Kenya was seen playing Candy Crush Saga while listening to the formal briefing from Kenyan authorities.
This lack of enthusiasm for helping Pakistanis in Kenya simply highlights how disinterested the Pakistani High Commission staff members are.
This further demonstrates that employees of Pakistani missions abroad are only motivated by postings abroad that come with considerable benefits and advantages.
Unfortunately, some of them have lost sight of the fact that domestic taxpayers pay them and that their first concern should be resolving the problems of the Pakistani diaspora.
