According to Pakistan, this year\’s Hajj cost applications will accepted between Sunday (May 1) and the 13th of the following month.
At a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, announced that applicants could submit their applications online and deposit 50,000 rupees (Rs 50,000) in approved banks.
The total Hajj amount will not revealed until Saudi Arabia confirms it.
However, the cost of Hajj is estimat to range between 700,000 and one million rupees this year.
This year, Pakistan received 81,132 Hajj pilgrims, with 40% from the government programme and 60% from the private programme.
According to the minister, the maximum age limit for pilgrims has been set at 65.
Vaccination with a booster dose is require for Pilgrims, he added. According to the regulation, Pilgrims must vaccinated with a booster dose and undergo a PCR test at least 72 hours before departure.
