Acne is a common skin disease that can occur when your pores become clogged with oil and dead skin or are infected by bacteria. As many as 85% of teenagers between 12 and 24 in the world have acne. If they did not follow the best acne treatment at this age, it badly affects their skin. Acne is a chronic skin disease, and people who have severe acne tend to have breakouts at their face, chest, neck, shoulders, and back. It occurs commonly in all teenagers during their puberty period, but it can occur at any age. Acne appears on the skin like pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, nodules, etc. There is some acne treatment at home.
Adopting some healthy lifestyle changes can help to prevent pimples and all sorts of acne issue
- Avoid Stress. You can do it by meditating, exercising, doing yoga, relaxing before bed by reading, getting engaged in hobbies, etc.
- Get quality sleep
- Wash your face twice daily
- Apply a good moisturiser
- Refrain from harsh scrubbing with rough washcloths. Use a gentle cleanser with clean hands.
- Keeping hair clean may stop acne from developing, especially close to the hairline.
- Stop popping or picking at pimples. It can result in inflammation and scarring of the skin.
- Avoid using too much make-up and cosmetics. Remove make-up completely before going to bed.
- Too much sun has damaging effects on the skin. So wear sunscreen before stepping out.
- Exfoliating, while it can do your skin a lot of good, but too much of it can irritate the skin.
- Stay hydrated. Dehydration can give your skin a dull appearance and promotes inflammation and redness. These help you with acne treatment at home.
In the past, I had this sort of disdain for natural products. However, it was weird, hippie versions of actual good products after receiving a chemical burn from a face wash. My skin is extremely sensitive. And it responds very well to natural products! Here are some products that have worked very well for me.

1 – Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, healing, moisturizing, and has enzymes that gently exfoliate the skin. After receiving my burn, I began putting this on my skin to heal it more quickly. Yet, even when the burn was mostly healed, I continued to apply it after family, friends and I all noticed the massive difference it was making in my skin. Aloe vera is the best acne treatment.
2 – Honey
Honey is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, and full of antioxidants to repair damaged skin. I put on a honey mask mostly as a joke, though I hoped it would work secretly. After all, I had read at least three somewhat reliable beauty websites telling me that it would do wonders.
I noticed a big difference in my complexion after leaving the honey on for 30 min. My red and angry acne was no longer red nor angry. pimples had become smaller and less inflamed. My pores looked amazing. After I washed it off (which is way easier than you think—it just melts away with water like any other cleanser on Earth) my skin was not tight and begging for moisture. It felt soft and moisturized. And this was all just after one use!
I\’ve heard stories from people that have used honey long term and have seen their scars disappear. I\’m not sure about the validity of these claims, so don\’t quote me on it. Still, it\’s something to look into. Honey is acne treatment at home.

3 – Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and good for dry skin. I got tea tree oil shampoo a while ago, even though I don\’t get acne on my scalp. It was so soothing and cool to the touch that I just decided to get a cleanser with the oil and put it on my face. And I\’m glad I did. Tea tree oil is the best acne treatment.
My acne cleared up considerably thanks to its antibacterial properties. However, my face was somewhat dry after use, so make sure to use a moisturizer. Tea tree oil should be diluted. It should never be applied directly to the skin, or it can cause burning.
4 – Colloidal Oatmeal
Colloidal oatmeal is anti-inflammatory, soothing, relieves redness, relieves itching, and can help with more than just acne.
After burning my skin, one of my first new buys was a natural moisturizer after my Neutrogena one with SPF 30 started burning my face when applied. (Note: SPF is extremely important. It just burns sensitive skin. Which sucks, because it\’s extremely important. I bought Aveeno\’s moisturizer containing colloidal oatmeal and immediately noticed my redness disappearing. I already have rosacea, so my face was red before I got burned. The colloidal oatmeal took away a lot of that redness and calmed my inflamed skin significantly.
I lost the urge to itch and pick at my acne. This is because colloidal oatmeal contains phenolic alkaloids, which relieve the urge to itch. This also helped my healing process and prevented scarring. Colloidal oatmeal is also good for excema, rosacea, and even chickenpox and best acne treatment.
5 – Avocado
Avocado is soothing, anti-inflammatory, and moisturizing. I use avocado products less as cleansers and more as moisturizers. They\’re vitamin-enriched, containing vitamin E and A, which promote skin health. They\’re also anti-inflammatory, calming your red and inflamed pimples.
I tried some avocado face masks a few months ago and found them to not only feel good but calm and moisturize my dry and flaky skin.
