An unverified video circulating on the internet purports to depict the buying and selling of votes for the impending by-election. With voters shown collecting money after taking an oath on the Holy Quran.
The candidates were spott with dollar stacks on the table and Shaista Parvez Malik\’s Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader\’s banners hanging in the background. Because the guys bribing votes wore masks, they could not be identified.
Another video of vote-buying, allegedly from the Pakistan People Party, is spreading on social media. A female voter is heard saying she receive Rs2000 after swearing on the Quran.

Meanwhile, the PML-N candidate for the NA-133 constituency has accused the PPP of purchasing votes ahead of the by-elections.
Following the release of the leak videos, State Minister for Information Farrukh Habib has called on the Election Commission to investigate the sale and purchase of votes. While governing party candidates Jamshed Iqbal Cheema and Musarat Cheema have already been withdrawn from the race.
After the death of PMLN veteran Parvaiz Malik, who had won the NA 133 seat in the 2018 general elections, the seat became vacant.
