Student Commits Suicide After Failing Matric Exams

After failing the class 10 annual exams administered by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a young Student Commits Suicide (AJK).

Details indicate that the student was from the village of Hajira in the Poonch region of AJK. He hung himself on the ceiling fan in his chamber to end his life.
As soon as they arrived, a team of police officers from the involved police station and district administration cordoned off the property to finish the initial investigation.

The deceased person\’s body was sent to the closest hospital, where post-mortem evidence supported suicide. The family was then given the deceased body so they could perform the boy\’s last rites.
On August 31, BISE AJK released the Matric Part II annual exam results.

By the official result gazette, 62,277 students registered for the yearly class 10 exams. 61,724 students took the tests. 16,826 students did not pass the tests, while 44,858 did. The overall passing rate was 72.68%.
